Looking forward to talking RTE and The Minister @NewstalkFM after 4pm news

[RTÉ News @rtenews]

A meeting is scheduled to take place later today between RTÉ representatives and Minister for Media Patrick O'Donovan after yesterday's announcement regarding the withdrawal of intended funding from the broadcaster https://t.co/i9Rkl5WjLU

[TheJournal.ie @thejournal_ie]

RTÉ director general Kevin Bakhurst has said he "completely rejects the assertion" that the pace of reform within the national broadcaster has been slow, after the government confirmed that it would receive €20 million less in funding. https://t.co/7oKRJi0F1k

[Larry Bass @Larbas]

The Minister who cannot get anything right, unbelievable that he is allowed to stay on, is there no opposition?

Can we have a "real" Minister? TG4 and Screen Ireland budget funding amounts to ‘cut’ in real terms, industry warns https://t.co/lCvD1Q3ykm

I posted this over a year ago, perhaps the other cabinet members should understand how much @podonovan is harming them

[Larry Bass @Larbas]

@podonovan should get the facts before speaking on his brief, levy adds zero to consumer fees, but will cost jobs in Limerick. Media Minister Patrick O’Donovan to block ‘Netflix levy’ plan

Is Minister Patrick O'Donavan the worst this country has ever seen, incompetent and clearly out of touch, but you can only blame his party leader who appointed him

[Mick Caul @caulmick]

He didn't get his Culture Card in yesterday's Budget - today there is crisis in RTÉ after €20M taken from RTÉs funding for 2027.

Petty or Prudent?

Patrick O'Donovan
Minister for Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media of Ireland rejects suggestion that he has become a 'liability' for the Government.

The National Union of Journalists (NUJ) has strongly condemned the Irish government's decision to cut funding to RTÉ.
