They spent $130 million pushing deeper into digital and delivery. Same-store sales kept falling, and Yum ultimately agreed to sell Pizza Hut in deals valued at $2.7 billion.
Meanwhile the franchisee who refused to gut his dining rooms is filling his. Tim Sparks converted 38 of his own Pizza Huts back to the red roof, Tiffany lamps, checkered tablecloths, and salad bar. People drive two and three hours just to sit in his booths and put their phones down.
155 of those Classics stand now, across dozens of states, quietly proving the old thing never needed a rebrand — just its roof back.
Have Red Roof in your town yet?
Ulf spends the first half of the episode blacked out on the can, is forced to participate in the plot, promptly ruins everything for everyone, and for all we know blacks out again in the air. A+ character
I genuinely think Mysaria is the least competent person to ever run the Whisperers department.
A massive wild dragon flying around the Vale with a rider goes unnoticed. The Gold Cloak murders in King's Landing happen without her knowing who is pulling the strings, forcing Daemon to literally wear Gold Cloak armor and investigate it himself. Enemy movements into the Crownlands slip past her as well, resulting in Corlys' capture.
She seems far more focused on outmaneuvering Daemon, involving herself in matters outside her assigned role, and ofc... staying close to the queen than actually excelling at the job.
Varys would've been aware of Aegon's whereabouts, Aemond's daily routine at Harrenhal, the wellbeing of Young Aegon and Viserys, and what Ormund had for lunch every day at Tumbleton. Lol
