@om @captureonepro @Adobe Exactly! What could they be thinking and the annual releases rarely have enough added value to justify upgrading especially when the new features are ½-a$$. New 📷 needing new raw support is almost the only reason. I've only done perpetual license going from v20 to v23 this year.

@davewiner Pocket Cast. Other than emergency listening, I always download on an episode basis. Although a bit awkward, it can also play a mp3 file you've downloaded independent of the app. Alternatively, I found Podcast Addict a bit confusing, but more straight forward for mp3 files.

@drvolts Your experience isn't so bad vs our town in MA which started the process for ~4 miles of bike trail in 2007. 18 affirmative votes over the years at town meeting & we still haven't started construction. Maybe we'll be riding on it by 2024/25. Why we can't have nice things.

@mer__edith Didn't even use the SMS function back in the days of TextSecure so this has no impact for me. If someone must use SMS, Google Messages is a better choice given its support of RCS. I actively try to get people on Signal or if that doesn't work have them enable RCS or use WhatsApp.

@kennwhite A long overdue move. SMS support even existed in the pre-Signal Android app called TextSecure from Open Whisper Systems using the Signal protocol. Never understood why it was there in the first place. Gives more clarity to what Signal is.

@matthew_d_green Do you have real-time local Grammer checking? At least for me (on Pixel) that's another quick way of fixing misspelled words and sometimes autocorrect wonky stuff. Maybe there is something similar on iPhones.

@drvolts Have you tried recording using @krispHQ? It can do a pretty good job of removing background noise.

@drvolts So it sounds like my top of the line R-410a based heat pump which was just installed today might be on thin ice pretty soon. As far as I know all the high efficiency cold weather heat pumps use R-410a.
