Friday I decided to experience the 2026 NFL Draft in Pittsburgh. It looked like record crowds, a very well behaved crowd with no reported issues.
The City of Pittsburgh did an outstanding job—everything was clean, organized, and well prepared.
Overall a great success.

This morning at our Commissioners meeting we honored the Canon-McMillan High School Competitive Cheer Team for winning both the WPIAL and PIAA championships this year.
I also had the chance to grab a photo with two of my granddaughter’s friends on the team, Carley and Ava.
Two years ago, I help plan a funeral for three unclaimed veterans. This week I received a call from a long-lost brother of one of the men. Here’s a heartwarming update.

This morning the Washington Co. World Series pony league team played in a tournament at Lew Hays field. They won 9-0 and Braxton Thompson threw a no hitter. A good start for the “All star team. The Pony League World Series begins Aug. 8-13 at Lew Hays field.
