Not every signing needs to be a superstar.

Sometimes it’s about finding players who perfectly fit the manager’s ideas.

Victor Munoz is exactly the type of winger Andoni Iraola has built successful teams around. Direct, aggressive and constantly looking to attack defenders rather than recycle possession.

At Osasuna, Munoz developed a reputation for turning successful dribbles into shots and dangerous attacking moments.

His arrival could also change the dynamics on Liverpool’s left-hand side.

Last season, much of the responsibility for providing width fell on Kerkez as Gakpo drifted inside. Now, with both Munoz and Ngumoha available, Liverpool have genuine wide threats capable of stretching teams themselves.

And together, they give Iraola very different weapons to deploy.
