@imperialauditor Nice. Even to those not fooled, it demonstrates some things: a) the choice between trivially equivalent logical statements can greatly affect your mathematical exposition; b) the word "clearly" is dangerous; c) parentheses matter. 🙂

@paulwgoldberg @PinkseJoris I've seen a colleague give a talk where he started a "false theorem" (i.e., something that would be nice if it was true, but wasn't), and then discussed what actually IS true. But I'm not convinced it's good terminology. In some cases, "heuristic principle" works.
