Mary trying to copy Yumeko was actually funny, and it just shows how empty she is. If she wants real gambling and wants people to take her seriously, slamming the table and screaming isn’t enough. She’s missing two things that Yumeko has. She can’t put anything that actually matters to her on the line. Let’s be honest, if Mary loses, the only one who really loses is Yuu, because her ring just gets thrown away. She also doesn’t have the aura that makes an opponent want to play her for real. In the match against Kinu, Yumeko made her bet everything she had.

Will the next chapters keep repeating the same pattern in their game?
Runa is always shown as the one who already figured out how the game works, the whole chapter builds up the feeling that she has a guaranteed win and then at the end they activate Mary’s plot armor and she beats her with pure luck.

Runa Yomozuki the tiny, adorable sociopath with bunny ears.

She looks like a character from a children’s cartoon: lollipop, kigurumi hoodie, big smile and those huge sparkling eyes. Then she calmly tells you “practice pleasing men” (Mary) and giggles sweetly. She treats people like toys, doesn’t flinch at anyone’s suffering, but when it matters she’s absolutely neutral.

“Any player can take the scalp of another” and she genuinely believes it. She enforces it without batting an eye. Probably the third most cruel person in the entire academy (after Kirari and Midari), but served in the sweetest package possible. I love her. And I’m a little scared of her.

The relationship between Yumeko and Kabura is pure toxicity disguised as care.
Kabura never became her sister she simply won Yumeko in a gamble and took her like property. From that moment on, she treated her as her own personal project. She deliberately isolated her from anything that could hold her back and raised her in a way that would fully develop her reckless addiction to gambling.
To Kabura, Yumeko was never family. She was nothing more than a tool and a source of entertainment. She wanted to shape her into a being with no restraints a pure, unrestrained kakegurui.
Yumeko took advantage of that freedom, but she was never fooled. She never once called Kabura “Big Sis.” She knew she wasn’t receiving love only permission to become a monster.
It wasn’t a relationship.
It was the relationship between someone who created a monster, and the monster who was fully aware of what it was becoming.

This panel is one of my favorite moments in the entire manga.

In just a few short panels, it shows Yumeko in a way we almost never see her. There’s no madness, no gambling euphoria, and no theatrical politeness. There’s only pure, fragile gratitude. And that’s what hits the hardest. Yumeko knows exactly what she’s done. She knows it’s because of her that Souko ended up in that hospital bed, broken and empty.
She’s fully aware of the price others have paid for her to be herself. And yet, in this moment, she allows herself to simply be a younger sister. A girl who’s finally able to thank her Big Sis for everything she sacrificed for her. This isn’t Yumeko playing a role.
This is Yumeko, who for a brief moment, stops playing. And that’s exactly why this panel is so powerful it shows her humanity, the part she so rarely reveals.

I think I finally cracked how the Bami bloodline works.

It’s literally isekai character creation.

Most Bami kids get normal stats at birth.

But then you got the two actual freaks.

Yumeko went full send maxed Luck, Charisma and Gambling Addiction. She got the Jabami passive “Gambler’s Soul”, so her game sense is actually disgusting.

Only problem? She put zero points into stamina, so she crashes hard after going crazy

Kirari on the other hand is just built different. As Ririka’s twin she basically yoinked a ton of her sister’s points at birth and dumped everything into Charisma + Psychological Domination. She also got the strongest Momobami passive “Absolute Authority”.

Most Bami are strong.

These two? They’re not even in the same league as the rest of the clan.
