Politics is the game through which elites get what they want until the next round is played. The popular conspiratorial myth of elites banding together to screw over everyone is naive. The more realistic theory is that elite battles are highly contested and those who choke lose heavy as seen in states where politics plays out in the form of war. Once you get this, you see why outgroup bias is rare in these circles.

When the popular politician says 'hawa kabila X' he is actually pissed that a group of organized oligarchs from kabila X interfered with his interests big time. Also consider how no matter how badly someone has fallen out with a regime, corruption and business dealings are rarely prosecuted; because taking it over is the best reward.

If these politicos weren't sincere in their bitterness with the elites of another tribe, there's no way they'd be able to build a following. People are not passively incited,it is an active process where the 'inciter' actually believes the words he's saying, that's how they resonate.

If life is a simulation, going back to the base reality is impossible. We don't know what it looks like because we're in a simulacrum, which is a copy or representation of a thing that no longer has an original or has no original at all. To make it easier to understand, think of it like taking a photo on your phone. Then you edit it on Snapseed or something to make it better. It's no longer the original but it still retains parts of the original. Then you take the edited copy to Chat GPT, then to Adobe, then to other editors and eventually you end up with something that is so detached from the original you can't even tell if it's real or not. That's simulacra.

So, assuming we have a base reality, we'll have to trace it back but how? We could be simply a simulation inside another simulation which is inside a 14 year old alien kid's computer. And the alien is also being simulated in another computer 5 dimensions above its base reality, which is also a simulation of another simulation being simulated by another simulation designed specifically to simulate the base reality. See how convoluted that is? And what if one layer of all those simulations gets corrupted or something? Do you see how hard it is to get back to the base reality? Hehe.

In 1930, the Spanish philosopher José Ortega y Gasset published The Revolt of the Masses, a book that still feels uncomfortably prophetic. His central target was not the poor or the working class, but a new kind of human being he called the “mass man”.

The mass man, Ortega argued, is defined by attitude rather than income. He is the ordinary person who is perfectly satisfied with himself, demands nothing higher of his own character or intellect, and yet insists that his mediocrity be treated as a right. He does not defer to excellence, competence, or higher standards. He regards them with suspicion or resentment. What previous ages saw as the privilege of the few - political influence, cultural authority, the right to shape society - the mass man now claims as his due, without any corresponding effort to rise above the average.

Ortega believed this type of person had been produced by the very success of modern civilisation. Rising living standards, mass education, and liberal institutions had given ordinary people unprecedented power and comfort. But they had not produced a corresponding sense of responsibility or humility before higher achievements. The result was a revolt: the mass man refused to accept the authority of superior knowledge, culture, or character. He demanded that everything be brought down to his level.

The danger, Ortega warned, was that a civilisation cannot survive if its central actors no longer respect the standards that made it possible. When the average begins to dominate without aspiring to anything beyond itself, excellence is undermined, institutions decay, and politics becomes an expression of resentment rather than responsibility.

Ortega’s diagnosis remains unsettling because it is not a complaint about poverty or exclusion. It is a warning about self-satisfied mediocrity armed with power.

The more relationships become primarily driven by financial status, the more societies drift toward polygyny.

For the record, polygamy is the umbrella term. Polygyny refers to one man with multiple wives, while polyandry refers to one woman with multiple husbands.

When wealth becomes the dominant criterion for mate selection, a relatively small number of affluent men can attract a disproportionate share of potential mates, while many men with fewer resources struggle to form relationships. That creates an increasingly unequal dating and marriage market.

When wealth becomes the ticket to intimacy, a handful of wealthy men accumulate more and more mates, while an increasing number of ordinary men are shut out of the relationship market.

Society pretends this has no consequences but it does.

The men at the top accumulate more mates. The men at the bottom accumulate more frustration.

If young men are taught that access to love, sex, and family is bought rather than built, don't be surprised when some pursue wealth at any cost.

Some will work harder. Others will cheat, steal, defraud, or embrace other destructive paths because they believe money is the only currency that matters. You can already see just what people are willing to do just to get the money.

Are you surprised to see the rise in the number of sharp boys? And more? I am not. It is all in the patterns.

Every society is shaped by the incentives it rewards. Kenya is not heading in that direction. Kenya is already living it.
