Moscow’s Hudson shopping mall. Things are apparently going great
First, Wildberries and Ozon — Russia’s biggest online marketplaces, basically local versions of Amazon — started killing off traditional shopping malls.
Then came Putin’s war: foreign brands leaving, purchasing power falling, and the economy getting more “fun” by the day.
And now Hudson itself is offering business space for 1 ruble per square meter. Yes, literally. On the mall’s official website, it is advertised as an “incredibly attractive” offer.
When a square meter in a Moscow shopping mall costs less than a plastic bag at a supermarket, a few questions naturally come to mind.
