And they absolutely do not permanently alter a woman's genetic makeup or affect future children.
The idea that a woman carries genetic material from every man she's had sex with is a 19th-century myth called telegony, which was thoroughly debunked with the advent of modern genetics. Microchimerism has been weaponized to revive that myth, but the two are not the same.
Women's bodies are not archives of their sexual histories. Spreading this misconception under the guise of science does real harm.
