@LAUSDSup Somehow, this never happened when I wrote about the #LAUSD music repair shop, well before the @latimes won its #Oscar for "The Last Repair Shop." Very happy for the incredible, deserving folks at the shop. https://t.co/DKJW7tjLDP
@mattdpearce Matt, I remember when you were a whippersnapper of a Mizzou grad covering a tornado for us as a stringer, and we all thought, "This kid has a future!" Apparently, you did, and - going out on a limb here - still do. It was an honor working with you; I'm eager to see what's next.

@ErikHW1 I’m so sorry to hear this, Erik. You didn’t deserve to be laid off, and you certainly didn’t deserve to be treated so cavalierly (which, in this case, is a fancy word for shitty).
@suhaunah It’s not just the racism, although that’s bad enough. There’s a wanton cruelty and absence of humanity in these responses. Have people always been this heartless? (Sadly, the answer is probably yes. We just didn’t always know it.)
Photo editors and newsroom hiring managers: Hire this woman! She's a great photographer and even better person. I don't know what the @latimes was thinking.
Calling all journalists! Plz, share my journalism jobs list with those laid off @latimes. Check out the Dec. list, too. We have your back. If anyone knows of a job, let me know in the comments. Plz RT #LATimes#Laidoff#journalismjobs

@leilamillersays@latimes I'm so sorry to hear this, Leila. It's awful and you -- and everyone else whose lost their jobs today -- deserved far, far better.
Anyway, if y'all have any job leads for this girly pop lmk! I know all about newsletters, social media, news writing (or any writing tbh) and more!
Here's my LinkedIn and fresh for u: https://t.co/FCldobYNz8
Friends, I am trying to help collect journalism/comms/research job postings for colleagues impacted by the L.A. Times layoffs today. Some of you have sent some my way, but please send more!
Oh my. @francineorr , one of the most sensitive, talented photographers ever to work at the @latimes , a @PulitzerPrizes finalist with the compassionate eye of Dorothea Lange, has been laid off. This was her latest feature. Somebody, hire this woman. https://t.co/piivoak4iQ
I spent ten years at the @latimes, with the last four in the D.C. bureau. @erinblogan and @cmsub are fantastic journalists and wonderful colleagues. Hire them as fast as you can.
I’ve been laid off from my job as a columnist for the LA Times today, with 100 of my best colleagues. It’s a dark day. I was the only Latina columnist for the opinion desk. Trump is looming & Im author of Hatemonger. If you're hiring, I’m at [email protected]
I’m looking for my next opportunity in writing and editing, or in communications broadly. I have more than a decade of experience in journalism, know a thing or two about building things from scratch and I love working on teams. Preferably in gaming but open to any good fit:
I haven’t posted here in a long time, but I can’t stay silent while an institution I love is destroyed. I’m heartbroken for my former @latimes colleagues who lost their livelihood today. @drpatrick, you can’t cut your way to profitability. https://t.co/KniiDRSn0Z
