I’ve got very sad news: Jim Copenhaver, who was shot at the Butler Trump rally on July 13, 2024, has died.
I don’t have many details at this point, but it’s no secret that Jim was dealing with permanent injuries from Butler—including having bullet fragments still inside of him.
RIP Jim
This is the group of heavily armed men that held me hostage for months under the guise of "security" at the "orders" of General Flynn. When I told them I didn't want security they claimed they were on "orders" from Flynn to "protect" me and you do not disobey orders from a General.
Joe Kent was a leader within the group and went by an alias because according to 1AP member James Curtis, "Kent" was actively working at top levels for the intelligence community, including in 2021 (after Joe Biden took office), as the group continued carrying out its "op," detaining me under the guise of "protection" using fear, force, and fraud.

As President, I would read 10 letters a day sent to me by ordinary Americans. At the Obama Presidential Center, we’ll have some of the letters I read — and responded to — every night. I still get emotional reading them, and it’s one of my favorite exhibits.
I have been very critical of the security and Secret Service performance at the WHCD since the night itself. It's not earning me a lot of friends--but this new video does nothing to mollify my concerns.
Standing post is one of the hardest tasks in the world, because USUALLY nothing happens, and yet when things get interesting they can do so quickly, and your whole life could be defined by your actions in those seconds.
I go into some of what goes wrong in the video below. The officer who draws and fires his weapon in this video deserves to be commended for being the only officer to be alert and to react in time... but things then get very hairy as he continues to fire, missing his colleagues only by dumb luck (and failing to hit the attacker.)
The lax atmosphere at the checkpoint in the video, the decisions made, the training and standards that led to this situation in the first place, all need to be rigorously questioned. This can't be what the Secret Service considers "okay."
This is now the third attempt on President Trump's life. This attacker was unserious and apparently tripped just out of frame before being apprehended. The threat is real and the quality of the protection around him needs to be the highest possible in the world. What you see in this video... is not that.
The annual White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner is held at the Washington Hilton.
Every year, the President and Vice President hold a dinner for members of the press covering the White House.
Celebrities appearing at tonight’a dinner include Donald Trump and Michael Bloomberg.
Man who went viral for remaining in his seat as he ate food during the WH Correspondents' Dinner shooting says he didn't want his new tux on the dirty Hilton floor.
He also said he is from New York, so he hears sirens and activity all the time.
"I’m a New Yorker. We live with sirens and activity happening all the time," Michael Glantz, an agent at Creative Artists Agency, said.
"I wasn’t scared. There are hundreds of Secret Service agents hurtling themselves over tables and chairs, and I wanted to watch."
"First of all, I have a bad back. I couldn’t get on the floor, and if I did get on the floor, they’d have to bring in people to get me off the floor. And No. 2, I’m a hygiene freak. There was no freaking way I was getting in my new tux on the dirty Hilton floor. It was not happening."
Although we don’t yet have the details about the motives behind last night's shooting at the White House Correspondents Dinner, it’s incumbent upon all us to reject the idea that violence has any place in our democracy. It’s also a sobering reminder of the courage and sacrifice that U.S. Secret Service Agents show every day. I’m grateful to them – and thankful that the agent who was shot is going to be okay.
🚨 BREAKING: Investigators found writings in the WHCA suspected shooter's hotel room and are reviewing the written materials as part of the ongoing investigation, law enforcement and White House officials told @CBSNews.
The suspect’s writings clearly stated he wanted to target administration officials, the sources say.
But the writings didn't specifically mention the White House Correspondents Association Dinner, I'm told.
Authorities also found anti-Trump and anti-Christian rhetoric on his social media accounts.

. @OzTheMentalist reveals the trick he had just performed on Karoline Leavitt when the shooting happened last night at the White House correspondents’ dinner.
He figured out the name of @PressSec ‘s soon to be born child
For the people saying that Secret Service should have secured the entire hotel, that is a very bad idea.
The ballroom is in the basement with separate elevator & escalator system from the main hotel. It was built to be secured.
The shooter was stopped on the floor above it.
