There are no negotiations and @GillianKeegan refuses to release the pay review body report going as far as to refuse an FOI because it’s apparently not in the public interest.
This is why teachers are strike today because we have to #SaveOurSchools

The headlines today will be about pay.
But this industrial action is about much more than pay.
It's about an education system which is undervalued by Government and which is buckling under too much strain.
Invest in our educators!
Invest in our schools!
Invest in our children!
Make sure your voice is heard...
Let's overwhelm them with evidence to support what we have all been saying.
Everyone, now is the time to put pen to paper or get to your keyboards!
Enough is Enough!
Change Is Coming!
#ShineOn
There will come a point when soviety realises teachers haven't just been whingy, lazy, lefties and there is real issue that lies firmly at the door of government. Their child's education will suffer but by then it will be too late.

Every monthly DD bill has gone up. Water has gone up by £9, Council tax has gone up by £20, energy has gone up by £40. Do you know what hasn’t gone up? My salary. I can’t afford life. How am I supposed to do this?! Stay in and not socialise? Not live. I’m tired.
So many things wrong -
Ofsted creates a vicious cycle-DfE testing narrows the curriculum, Ofsted narrows what leaders prioritise in schools.
It creates a system where everyone is put under constant pressure.
Our children & staff must come first.
At the moment, they do not.
@Ofstednews The best interests of the children? We are all in education for the children, does that mean that the adults don't matter? This is insensitive. Ruth matters. All adults in education matter.
Ofsted has ‘completely underestimated the strength of feeling’ in schools following the death of headteacher Ruth Perry, says @NAHTnews' @PaulWhiteman6 as the watchdog rejects calls to pause inspections

Children’s education is not suffering because teachers are on strike.
Children’s education is suffering from years of underfunding, undervaluing and lack of understanding of how stretched schools are.
It’s not self serving, not greedy, it’s wanting better for the children.
We’re trying to get as many followers as Rishi Sunak so we can show the government just how many people are prepared to fight for the NHS and its staff.
