@GCCMobility, through @ACMI_Africa, in collaboration with the @min_waterUg, is implementing the Uganda Climate Mobility Deep Dive, designed to equip the @govuganda and relevant stakeholders with the capacity to anticipate and plan for the migration and displacement of people due to climate impacts.

A draft Climate Mobility Blueprint for the Government of Uganda has been developed, based on the outcomes of previous stakeholder consultation reports. The Blueprint is intended to inform and guide the formulation, review and implementation of laws, policies, guidelines and programmes, taking into consideration the linkages between climate change, environment, human mobility and national and local development.

It describes the tough choices communities face due to climate risks. While difficult, mobility can be a solution for some. It can allow people to escape danger, diversify incomes, and access essential services.
