The arts need funding and a progressive take on training like the one @theMTAonline offered should have been supported! A course designed and proved to work should have been able to carry on. I don’t have words,
I’m heartbroken and sending lots of love to everyone affected.
I’m still in shock about the news of @theMTAonline having to close. A drama school and human team that became my family in the UK. I learnt so much from the incredible faculty, felt supported through difficult moments and graduated feeling ready to tackle the industry.
I can’t believe a place that offers top notch quality training and support even after you graduate (which should be the standard for every drama school, if you ask me. This is a bloody hard industry thank you very much) has to close due to the ineptitude of other entities.
Yesterday I got to watch one of the most hilarious shows I’ve ever seen. If you enjoy absurdity, amazing characters, stunningly funny performances, physical comedy and an incredibly clever script, don’t miss @PoliceCops_ at @edfringe !
The daft thing about it all is that we all *know* who should be running the country, as there's only one stratum of people capable of doing it properly. It's so obviously Stage Managers.
