People tell themselves stories in their head. It's our job to help them rewrite those stories, not act out the story for them.

2. Teach them to become more aware so they see it for themselves.

3. Help them bring their emotions back to neutral before trying to speak logic.

4. Show them options of next steps & potential futures.
