A Jewish community has been left "devastated" after thieves broke into a synagogue and stole a heavy safe containing two sacred scrolls.

The Beis HaMedrash Torah Etz Chaim, located on Bury New Road in Salford and known locally as "the 69," has now launched an urgent campaign to recover the items, offering a £2,000 reward for their safe return.
