Thank you for inviting us to co-host tonight @SolwayTours, it's been wonderful seeing all your pictures and having a glimpse into life during lockdown across Scotland. Stay safe #LoveDandG and #AWindowonScotland@VisitScotNews
A4 2020 Year of Coast & Waters. Our region has beautiful beaches. Very near us are Dhoon Bay, Kirkcudbright and Brighhouse Bay, Borgue. #awindowonscotland#LoveDandG
A6 I’m enjoying this #WindowOnScotland campaign, its great to see the wonderful views from Scotland’s windows. And the sun is to keep shining so we can get outside and keep well and healthy. #LoveDandG#awindowonscotland
Perhaps not a physical window but these pictures open a window to the nature of our Stranraer residents. Last years Skiffie Worlds was hands down Scotland’s best event. A week of amazing competition and friendships made that’ll last a lifetime. #LoveDandG#AWindowOnScotland
A5 Keeping well is so important, I find cycling a great form of relaxation. We are so lucky in the south to have the best mountain biking trails & festivals in the world. I look forward to returning along with our visitors! #LoveDandG#AWindowOnScotland @Tweedlovefest
A4 One of our favourite holidays was in a campervan along the D&G coast, we can’t wait to return to the likes of Southerness, Kipford, and Kirkudbright #LoveDandG#AWindowOnScotland
4. 2020 is the Year of Coasts and Waters. When it is safe to travel again where would you head to in D&G or across Scotland to appreciate our stunning coastline? #LoveDandG#AWindownOnScotland#YCW2020
A1. Even the smallest of windows provide an amazing view 🎴 Who recognises where in Dumfries and Galloway you would find these windows?
(Hint: both sites have histories dating back to the mid-1400s!) #LoveDandG#AWindowOnScotland
A2 A favourite view, and one I’m most looking forward to seeing again, is from my parents’ garden looking out towards the river at Kirkcudbright - and not just because it’s beautiful #awindowonscotland#LoveDandG
A3 The South of Scotland is rich in creativity and I am especially inspired by our world-renowned textile industry, my crochet hook has been busy! I’ve started drawing again and have been tie-dyeing & upcycling and all sorts! #LoveDandG#AWindowOnScotland
A2 Close to the roadsides, glorious pastoral scenes: lush green fields home to goats, horses, sheep and cattle – a few characters among them! #LoveDandG#AWindowonScotland
A1: #loveDandG#aWindowinScotland One of our favourite historic sites is the Old Pack Road from Polmaddy to Carsphairn - for centuries the main route for pilgrims, kings and everyone travelling from Glasgow to Galloway. 7km, newly refurbished path, travel as our forefathers did!
My heart 💓 sores with the views that I get on the evening walks with my son Archie. A wee dander up Hartwood Hill Nr Ramerscales and you can see the way to “Criffel Mountain” as Archie calls it. #AWindowOnScotland#LoveDandG#ScotlandStartsHere
A2: These last few months have definitely given us the opportunity to appreciate how beautiful and green Scotland really is, I' very fortunate to have a garden 🥰 #LoveDandG#AWindowOnScotland
2. What are your favourite images of your own gardens or have you captured some great outdoor shots of flora and fauna on your daily exercise? #LoveDandG#AWindowonScotland
@SolwayTours My sister-in-law's family came over from Kuala Lumpur and Australia and we were able to host a truly Scottish wedding in a remarkable venue!
A1 If there’s one thing we could really shout about it’s our historic landmarks and attractions. My family hired Neidpath Castle last year for a family wedding and it was magical. #LoveDandG#AWindowOnScotland
1. Historic Environment Scotland are also helping to promote the #AWindowonScotland campaign including their most historic places. What are your favourite historic places in D&G or across Scotland? #LoveDandG
