Mechanics are half of it, but an NFT is still a visual thing. That is why I went hard on my trader frogs, not just the tech but hand drawn pixels and vibey gif animation, every one of them alive.

I miss the old school NFT launch.

All I want is a well thought out collection. Dope art, dope world, dope characters. Something with enough depth that I can spend all day digging through traits and falling in love with the details. A fun minting experience. And actually have the art ready BEFORE mint day.

All these collections experimenting with new mechanics and tech are cool, but for most of them the art is an afterthought and made in a few weeks max. They aren’t fun to collect for me. And that’s fine, both can exist. I just miss the joy of mint day. The reveal. That adrenaline of falling in love with a collection in real time.

Haven’t felt it in a long time.
