Tonight, #Istanbul has spoken clearly: our collective desire for #democracy shines brighter than ever, marking a pivotal step towards #unity and the end of polarization.
At a time when the world witnesses a retreat from democratic values, our city stands as a beacon of hope and #change. #tamyolileri

Lior Waitzman, 32, was shot by Hamas while he was on an early morning bike ride around his home city of Sderot on October 7th. He was training for a half-Ironman contest that was only a few weeks away.
He managed to call his wife Limor and told her that he was shot, but nobody was able to make it in time. He would never see Limor nor their four-year-old son Kfir again.
A talented sound technician, Lior had worked on many popular Israeli shows, such as “Fauda,” “Tehran,” “Unorthodox” and “The Beauty Queen of Jerusalem."
When his headstone was unveiled, Lior's young son climbed on top of it in order to hug and kiss his father "one last time."
Limor explains that “Kfir asks a lot of questions. I explained to him that bad people killed Dad and he really wanted to come back to Kfir but he couldn’t, and now it’s just Mom and Kfir.”
A young family has been torn apart, for nothing.
May Lior's memory be a blessing.
(85% counted) From Erdoğan on down, Turkey’s state, including cabinet officials and the military, worked systematically to bury the opposition, keep Erdoğan unrivaled, and allow him to pick a successor. The Turkish people just gave their verdict. They want none of it.
Since I joined Twitter in 2016, I haven't seen such optimism among Turks opposed, for one reason or another, to Erdoğan, Islamism, illiberalism, autocracy, corruption, or all at once. There's a shared sense that Turkey is beginning at last to turn the page.
Iranians are following Turkey’s local election results with fascination. If the results so far (40% counted) hold, and Erdoğan’s key candidates suffer big defeats nationwide, anti-Islamists and freedom seekers will be emboldened well beyond Turkey’s borders.
As you marvel at @nvidia becoming the third most valuable company in the world, with a market cap of $2.2 Trillion, I want you to remember this.
The gentleman on the right is Avinatan Or, an NVIDIA engineer. On the left his girlfriend Noa Argamani. Both have spent the last 177 days in HAMAS terror tunnels, because they were dancing at the Nova music festival.
Based on captured Hamas terrorist confessions and eyewitness testimony of released hostages, Avinatan is believed to be routinely tortured and Noa is believed to be pregnant from ongoing rape in captivity.
But the $NVDA stock is doing well so you can go about your business, virtue signal ceasefire, and condemn Israel for fighting to release them, and the 132 other hostages, including 6 Americans, held captive in Gaza.
