Meet lieutenant Manoj Kumar Pandey sir, a highly decorated officer of the 1st battalion, 11 Gorkha Rifles.

During the Kargil War, he led his men through some of the most treacherous terrain under intense enemy fire.

At Jubar Top, despite being wounded, he kept moving forward and personally led the assault against enemy positions.

He was hit multiple times but he refused to stop, his only focus was getting his men and the mission forward.

When the final assault came he charged toward the enemy positions, destroying bunkers and clearing the way for his men.

He fought until his last breath, making the ultimate sacrifice on 3 July 1999 at the age of just 24.
