@tails_spin@PasatempioCS@guywiththepie I dunno, Sonic just like, makes jokes? That's just been a thing he's done ever since he started speaking in stuff to me? It is not remotely surprising to me that a jokey character in a comic for kids would be making jokes like this.
@tails_spin@PasatempioCS@guywiththepie People don't literally just state what they mean all the time and often wrap their thoughts in ways that allude to what they are saying without directly stating it. I can't really even think of times in IDW where they are edgy and sarcastic. What is edgy about IDW dialogue?
@PasatempioCS@guywiththepie Actually reading through this manga, the main thing I am noticing is that the characters just literally say what they mean without using any kind of language that have like, metaphors or expressions. So maybe it is just easier for some people to read?
@PasatempioCS@guywiththepie Where he acts pretty much exactly the same, with the only difference being that it is written by a Japanese person who would not be familiar with primarily western colloquialisms and lingo?
video games will likely never be art purely on the basis that the people who consume them see them as disposable products that need to be fixed by being heavily altered in some way to appeal to a broader audience.
Here is another example of how Bluepoint cut away anything visually interesting in favor of generic, broadly appealing designs. They took Flamelurker, something that had metallic skin and eerie human-like facial features and just turned him into a Walmart Balrog

Hello. I am now on the other website because I would not like the things I make to be fed to Elon's diabolical robotic monster. My insecure self says my art is not even good enough for the diabolical robotic monster, but I do not wish to validate manchildren. Please follow me.
@krack932 Like, what do you think is more interesting? A character who because of his tragic origins feels a sense of duty feels a sense of duty to do good and can establish actual connections and dynamics with other characters or just a guy who wants to beat up because of reasons?
