@robinahoody @Zwxsh Settling a case is not the same as winning. With DV there will always be he said/she said as it inevitably happens behind closed doors. Once could be a debatable matter but two separate exs making the accusation seems like a pattern of behaviour to me. My opinion of course.

I went to university, but my school friend took a low paid job in an estate agency at 16 as he had always wanted to be in property and didn’t think a degree was worth the time. As he was earning his parents charged him a small rent to help teach him financial management. He stayed at home until moved up the ladder and had a good salary at 22.

He managed to pay a deposit on a small flat which he would share with a friend.

On the day he moved out his mother gave him a large envelope. It contained every penny he had ever paid in rent to his parents.

He had learned that living isn’t free, but his parents never wanted to profit from him and were able to cover their bills without support. Call it a compulsory savings scheme- but that money went to a deposit on a small flat he purchased rather than rented and he became a great success in estate agency.
