Opinions that Jonas Vingegaard does not like cycling are for me simply not true.
We all see them constantly… comments everywhere claiming that he doesn’t love cycling the way Pogi does. That he will retire in one or two years because he “isn’t passionate enough.” That he rides only out of obligation rather than love. But he loves cycling, just differently.
While some extroverted stars see cycling as a place of constant action, noise, and chaos, Jonas sees it differently. For him, cycling is a place where he can be in silence. A place where the noise of the world disappears and only the rhythm of the pedals and the road remains.
While others are flashing every single moment of their cycling life on Instagram or Strava, he rather not use social media at all, and spends just talking about it in private with his mates or family. That difference is often mistaken for a lack of passion. But passion does not always need to be loud.
You just don’t win the Tour twice without loving what you do. You do not go outside on the bike and spend thousands of hours training in the cold, the rain, or the heat without a deep connection to the sport.
Pogi thrives in the spotlight, in spontaneity, and in the joy of the show. Jonas thrives in solitude, calm focus, and quiet controlled intensity.
And cycling is richer because both exist. ❤️

Greenland's elite dogsled unit patrols desolate, icy Arctic.
Trump has ridiculed Denmark's defence of Greenland as amounting to "two dogsleds", but the Sirius Dogsled Patrol is no joke: the elite navy unit works in extreme conditions where only the toughest survive

Trump: "You know, they’ll say they sent some troops to Afghanistan, or this and that. And they did, they stayed a little back, a little off the front lines".
Danish soldiers, Helmand Province, 2009:
Fuck you trump.
Greetings from a Danish infantry group that helped the US in their war in Iraq in 2003 without having a legal UN mandate. Personally, I am currently ill and out of the labor market due to PTSD.
