America’s embrace of creative destruction is one reason for its economic success.
It's unafraid to let weaker firms fail and be replaced by more productive competitors.

I often think of my Mum’s pharmacy.
Today’s AI tools would have made stock-keeping, accounting and medicine delivery quicker and less of a burden.
Too many small businesses are still not using AI. We can’t let them be left behind.

Political capital now depreciates faster than ever.
Across Europe, leaders are facing the same pressures, from weak growth to rising defence spending and a state that too often cannot deliver.
These are arduous times for incumbents. Anyone who wants to govern should understand why.

On Doctors' Day, greetings to our dedicated doctors, whose hard work, compassion and commitment form the backbone of India's healthcare system. Their tireless efforts, often in the most challenging circumstances, have earned the trust and gratitude of countless people.
Over the last decade, India has made significant strides in strengthening our healthcare ecosystem. The number of medical colleges has more than doubled, while undergraduate and postgraduate medical seats have expanded substantially. This unprecedented growth is creating greater opportunities for aspiring doctors, building a stronger healthcare workforce and ensuring that quality medical care reaches every corner of the country.
As we work towards building a Viksit Bharat, our doctors will continue to play a pivotal role in promoting preventive healthcare, advancing medical research, embracing innovation and delivering affordable, accessible healthcare for all.

Deeply saddened by the passing of Mr. Robert A. F. Thurman, an eminent scholar of Buddhism, a distinguished teacher and a lifelong friend of India. Through his works, he popularised Buddhist thoughts globally and also built enduring bridges of understanding between cultures. I fondly recall our meeting in New York City a few years ago, where we had an excellent conversation. My thoughts are with his family, friends and admirers in this hour of grief.
