This would be devastating for all but the largest states. Problem is most people won't take the time to understand it.

@deerests @cattleNcrops83 @Singlemaltfiend Pre 64 Model 70 is the standard for all other rifles. Some of the older scopes have good glass. Point is good glass adds details and 30 mins to an hour to shooting light.

@cattleNcrops83 @Singlemaltfiend Totally agree. Everything requires practice. The point I am making is never skimp on the glass. A cheap Savage or Ruger ( both fine rifles) with great glass will out shoot a high end Blaser with cheap glass.

@OkieStotts @osuhank @Pogalo Only by you my friend. I'm comparing similar grain ammo, while you're taking a lightweight and comparing it to a heavyweight. If I'm shooting thru a door I'll take the 12 at 150yds I'll take the 220.

@osuhank @Pogalo @OkieStotts Ditto. I've got several old Winchester lever guns. Hunt with what floats your boat, but science is science. Any deer killed with a 30/30 could be killed with an 270,06,etc. Reverse is not true. Simple ballistics.

@Pogalo @OkieStotts @osuhank 30/30's are only good in the woods because the rifles are compact. No bullet, of any caliber, can fire accurately through brush and limbs. That's a wives tale that Marlin and Winchester came up with to sale guns.
