On the issue of presidential immunity, Julian Bond comes to mind. Asked abt whether Nixon shld have immunity, Bond quipped, "Why shld he be granted immunity? . . . The prisons of GA are full of people who stole $5 or $10 & this man tried to steal the Constitution of the US."

This wknd, we remember two giants of the modern Civil Rights movement, born w/in a day of each other: Julian Bond (Jan 14, 1940) & Martin Luther King (Jan 15, 1929). They are linked not just by the coincidence of the calendar, but also by a common commitment to social justice. 1/

Of the useful viewpoints I've read today, this one--raised here and elsewhere--strikes close to home.
Our project simultaneously fights insecurity and overwork because so much funding restricts "operating costs." Being an "operating cost" myself... this hamstrings me.
