District 2 deserves a voice that money can’t buy. Vote #53

[Lisa Ballay For Congress @LBforCongress]

There’s an interesting irony in Louisiana’s 2nd Congressional District: Lisa Ballay is running as a Libertarian, representing a political party outside the traditional two-party majority, in a district with its own distinct history of minority representation.

Political minorities and racial minorities aren’t the same thing. But both raise an important question about what representation means in a democracy.

Hurricane forecasting matters to Louisiana.

A new GAO report raises concerns about NOAA’s next-generation weather satellites, including a potential backup-satellite gap in 2032.

Congress has a responsibility to scrutinize federal spending, verify projected savings, and ensure critical forecasting capabilities are protected.

Accountability means measuring results, not just announcing savings.

You don’t have to vote red or blue. You have another choice!
For too long, both parties have made promises while Louisiana families struggle to get ahead. Louisiana ranks 50th overall in U.S. News & World Report’s 2026 Best States rankings. We deserve better.
You don’t have to change your political party. You can change your vote.
Choose someone who has your best interests at heart, will ask the hard questions, and will demand accountability. Washington needs people at the table who will put you first.
I’m running because I believe Louisiana deserves that kind of representation. I won’t be bought, bullied, or buried in Washington’s bureaucracy.
Your vote belongs to you. Make it count.
Vote November 3, 2026.

#53 on the Ballot

Federal transportation dollars should be judged by results—not politics.
New federal transit funding rules are being proposed while New Orleans plans a major connection between the East Bank and West Bank.
I believe taxpayers deserve transparent costs, realistic deadlines and measurable benefits before Washington commits their money.
Local decisions. Fiscal responsibility. Real accountability.

We’ll discuss what it takes to run for Congress as a Libertarian candidate, how Louisiana’s election system works, campaign strategy, independent voters, third-party politics, and the barriers facing candidates outside the Republican-Democratic system. Louisiana’s 2026 congressional elections use an all-candidate November ballot, with a runoff if nobody wins a majority. Lisa Ballay for Congress

Your financial information should belong to YOU.

A new GAO report highlights how mortgage inquiries could lead to your information being sold to competing lenders without your consent.

Congress has passed new privacy protections. Now we need to make sure they work.

Protect privacy. Preserve consumer choice. Encourage competition. Hold government accountable.

Freedom means having control over your personal information.

@ChaseForLiberty Thank you, Chase! I’m grateful for your support. Protecting individual rights and making government answer to the people are commitments I take seriously. Louisiana deserves leaders who listen, show up, and get to work.

One candidate I absolutely support is @LBforCongress in Louisiana.

She is a fighter for individual rights and holding government accountable to the voters.

She will absolutely bring the Louisiana spirit to DC!

I am proud to endorse her campaign.

The Baton Rouge Press Club invited all five candidates for Louisiana's 2nd District to answer questions on the record Monday.

Four of us were there.

I hope all five are there next time. Voters deserve to hear from everyone asking for their vote.

Exactly—and that’s part of the problem. Doctors order care, but often have no reliable way to tell a patient what it will actually cost. Prices can vary by facility, insurer and site of service. Real healthcare transparency means putting usable, upfront price information in the hands of both patients AND their doctors.

A Medicaid card is coverage. It is not the same thing as timely access to a doctor—and coverage alone does not guarantee good health outcomes.

Louisiana ranks 50th in health outcomes and 50th in children’s health outcomes, according to America’s Health Rankings. Child mortality ranks 49th and infant mortality 48th.

Yet Louisiana ranks 5th nationally for adequate and continuous health insurance among children.

That should force us to ask a harder question: Are we measuring success by how many people have a card, or by whether they can actually obtain timely care and achieve better health?

When interest on yesterday’s borrowing costs more than national defense, debt is no longer an accounting problem—it is limiting tomorrow’s choices.
