She's HERE! 🐮 Biscuit came home early, and within 30 seconds she'd already chased her first chicken. 😂 (Chicken is fine, just offended.)

Meadow is NOT sure about this. What do you think the goats will name her behind her back? 👇"

@1True_American_ Psalm 23:4

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me

Biscuit’s day! She’s settling in nicely.

Relaxing in the sun. She was playing with the slide earlier - I need to get a nice brush to put up higher for her to scratch on 😂
The chickens and ducks don’t mind her now - as long as she isn’t running or coming directly at her.
The goats are still cautious but aren’t staying inside hiding today 😂

@live_free_603 Agreed 100%

[Lisa Holmes @LBodge64709]

@RealHickory She is too dangerous to deport. She say in intelligence meetings. She needs Aligator Alcatraz or Gitmo.

@bebesunshine Thank you. I needed this today

[Lisa Holmes @LBodge64709]

@RobWrightImages Beautiful!!!

Meet Lucky Ducky 🦆 A couple weeks ago she was badly hurt by a bald eagle and I honestly wasn't sure she'd make it. She spent her recovery in a tub of wood shavings with a neck bandage, getting lots of pep talks from me. Today she's happy healthy with her flock laying eggs daily! Listen to her answer me every morning 😭 Have you ever nursed an animal back from the brink?"

[US Homeland Security News @defense_civil25]

🚨🚨🚨Daylight Savings Time was created during World War I to give farmers and workers more daylight to work. The government kept it when they discovered it causes heart attacks and strokes in the elderly, and during the time change people had more car accidents, falls and injuries.

Our bodies have an internal clock that is damaged during every clock change. Today we have universal electricity and lights. We have no need for DST anymore. It’s time to stop the madness! End DST clock changes forever!! ⏰ ⏰ ⏰

First hard frost on the ridge, a chicken who hid ALL the eggs, and ducks who I'm pretty sure were gossiping about me 🦆❄️

Meet Biscuit! 🐮💕 Here's the two of us, and yes, she photobombed my selfie 😂 She comes home to the farm later this week, and Meadow, Maverick, and IceGirl have NO idea what's coming. 🐐 Any advice for introducing a calf to goats?"

[Lisa Holmes @LBodge64709]

@MyLilHomestead I hope you get the weather you want this year!! We are looking at milder temps up here but more snow. ❄️

[Lisa Holmes @LBodge64709]

What are you doing this week to prepare for winter?

I am putting gardens to bed after I plant garlic. I am also cleaning and winterizing the barn.

But the most exciting thing I am doing while on vacation from my corporate job is getting a sweet baby Highland/ Dexter cross to board here!!!

Man my corporate job definitely gets in the way of my homesteading life 😂😂

[Lisa Holmes @LBodge64709]

@JBUVAplus That would be great thanks
