On 1/20/1957, LBPD Officer Frederick Walsh (26 years old) was killed in an on-duty auto accident. He was survived by his expectant wife Kathryn, and his two young children (Christine, 4, and David, 2).

RIP sir .. you are remembered.

On Jan 1, 1976, LBPD Officer Gary Elkins was shot and killed in an ambush by a deranged gunman. Elkins (34 yrs old) left behind a loving wife, two small children, and six siblings, one of which was also an LBPD officer. RIP Officer Elkins. You are remembered sir. #LBPOA #LBPD
