D. Mahesh Kumar, Deputy Director (Sr.) & Centre Director, CDM, emphasised the importance of disaster risk reduction for the Academy, where safeguarding personnel, ensuring continuity of essential services, & protecting institutional infrastructure are vital during emergencies.

During the programme, 5 booklets under 3 series were also released: Case Study Series on Disaster Governance in India; Journal Series on Disaster Response and Management; & Special Series featuring Operation Uttangan (Agra), the Amarnath Yatra, & the Silkyara Tunnel Rescue.

Shri B. B. Gadnayak, Technical Expert, @uksdrf, outlined key earthquake response measures, emphasising the ‘Golden Hour’, timely communication with the District Emergency Operation Centre (DEOC), crowd management, and keeping access routes clear for rescue and medical teams.

Shri Arpan Yaduvanshi, Commandant, @uksdrf, also addressed the gathering, underscoring the value of field-level readiness & inter-agency synergy. He explained how clearly defined roles & coordinated execution of planned actions contribute to an effective disaster mgmt. mechanism.

Addressing the Academy staff following the drills, Dr. B. Rajender, Director, highlighted the significance of leadership, individual accountability, vigilance and informed decision-making in fostering a culture of responsibility to safeguard lives during emergencies.

The initiative focused on clarifying section-wise responsibilities and reinforcing emergency protocols for evacuation, medical assistance, communication, and resource mobilisation, enabling Academy personnel to understand their respective duties during disasters.

On the occasion of International Day for Disaster Risk Reduction (#IDDRR), the Centre for Disaster Management, LBSNAA, in collaboration with @uksdrf, organised a two-day programme on 12–13 October 2026, featuring disaster management briefings and earthquake mock drills.

लाल बहादुर शास्त्री राष्ट्रीय प्रशासन अकादमी, मसूरी में 14.09.2026 से “दो सप्ताह हिंदी के नाम” कार्यक्रम का आयोजन किया गया। इस कार्यक्रम के तहत विभिन्न प्रतियोगिताएं आयोजित की गईं। 29.09.2026 को समापन समारोह के अवसर पर विजेताओं को निदेशक महोदय द्वारा सम्मानित किया गया।

उन्होंने हिंदी साहित्य से जुड़े प्रख्यात लेखकों एवं कवियों के विषय में भी अपने विचार साझा किए। साथ ही हिंदी साहित्य की प्रेरक काव्यात्मक पंक्तियों के माध्यम से अकादमी स्टाफ को दृढ़ इच्छाशक्ति के साथ हिंदी के अधिक से अधिक प्रयोग करने के लिए प्रेरित किया।
