The Lee Co Sheriff’s DEPT is currently working a shooting, which took place at Mitchell St Apts. We can confirm at this time that there were 3 people shot, 1 confirmed fatal, & 2 transported to NMMC. We have 1 person of interest in custody. More info can be found on our FB page

These are photos from today’s “Christmas Parade for Charlie”. He is from Tupelo and is battling cancer. He will be in the hospital on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day so the community wanted to help him celebrate Christmas early. We are praying for you Charlie! 🙏🏻❤️

While out and about in the community, Deputies often have the pleasure of getting to know members of the community. Today Deputy Haggard was able to visit friends he has come to know and love.

Today, while meeting with several other Sheriffs in Starkville, a young man said he remembered seeing me at his DARE graduation in 5th grade. It is always good to see students who have come through our programs and are doing well.
