Deputy Chapman helped the passenger out and freed the driver's foot before dragging him to safety. "There's no question that Deputy Chapman saved the driver's life," said Sheriff Murphy. "We're proud that he's part of our team."

Last Monday, Deputy Lonnie Chapman jumped into action to save the lives of 2 people in a burning vehicle.
While on patrol, Deputy Chapman found a truck that had crashed into a tree and had started on fire with a driver and passenger inside.
