We hope this will open up further applications for fast 3D imaging of tissues and complex structures with sub-cellular resolution, using conventional sample mounting techniques. Full details 👉 https://t.co/Okkk29oecm (🧵 6/6)
We demonstrate our method on biological samples with a range of RIs, including a whole fly brain 🧠 (imaged in < 3 min⚡) and > 1 cm long mouse bone 🐭🦴 (🧵 5/6).
🔬Our preprint list is now up on FocalPlane. This week we focus on new tools and techniques in imaging. Let us know if we are missing any recent preprints that you've enjoyed reading.

Had a great time at #FOM2023 🔬in Porto with others from @ImperialPhysics Biophotonics group, meeting new people and seeing familiar faces offline. Interesting talks and posters, lots of microscopy discussions and sunshine☉.
Enjoying day 2 of #FOM2023🔬with lots of light-sheet talks. Visit poster P1-G/3 to learn more about dual-view oblique plane microscopy (dOPM) and its application to high-content imaging of 3D cancer organoid models as part of the @MACH3Cancer CRUK Accelerator.
We hope that visualizing iPSC-CM & adult-CM coupling through fast 3D LSFM imaging of Ca dynamics is a step towards better understanding of iPSC-CM electromechanical integration with native
tissue🫀, and identifying potential sources of arrhythmia in stem cell grafts💓(6/6)
We also observed maintained electrical coupling in immobilized cells, without mechanotransduction, however further work is necessary to characterize the coupling mechanism.
Video: Orthoslices through adult-CM on iPSC-CM with synchronized spontaneous Ca transients (5/6).
2D #LSFM at ∼400 fps enabled spatial mapping of the ms-timescale dyssynchrony of calcium spark and transient dynamics in correlation with the t-tubule structure in ventricular cardiomyocytes. 🫀🔬
