Movement for strong Liberal values and something to vote for and believe in.
We move forward together.
Note: Not affiliated to or an official LibDem group
No party is talking to people who want to get on in life, make a few quid, pay fair taxes and get good public services and opportunity in return.
That is our ethos.
We need to be that party.
Look at the Irish budget, plenty of good things and spending money. A company friendly low tax English speaking country in the EU getting loads of investment.
Just like we used to be before we stuffed it all up.
At conference our leader arrived unexpectedly on a hired vessel on the south coast of England looking for a better life.
Making a positive case for immigration isn’t that hard if we try.
The Tories entrench the privilege of the rich.
Labour do the same by proxy by beating down anyone who works hard and aspires to be rich.
We can be the party of opportunity.
#LDConf At Lib Dem conference today we will debate issues relating to cost of living.
However anyone who cannot afford the v expensive hotels will have a day pass.
And we don’t let day pass members vote or speak.
We go on about diversity but when it comes to putting it in action it’s equality for those with a few quid.
The Lib Dems got 72 seats at the general election, almost all of them off the Tories, while running on a rejoining the EU single market platform, and no one is talking about this fact at all - not even the Lib Dems.
Voters would love a party with a positive vision.
A policy of backing Labour until the focus group doesn’t like something and then campaigning on that isn’t a positive vision, its just opportunism.
*** Brexit Bonus ***
Brexit has created a massive government surplus! Because of a booming economy the countries government has so much tax income it doesn’t know how to spend it!
Unfortunately for the U.K. that country is Ireland.
The country that speaks English and has low corporation tax and is in the EU.
Kinda like we used to be…
