Still not safe for crews or equipment at Mountain View slide area, road remains closed next update noon tomorrow

Mountain View road in McBride will remained closed for at least another 24 hours as crews and equipment are not allowed on site. Next update will be at noon tomorrow.

Area at Wilson Creek on Mountain View road has been deemed too unstable for crews and equipment to work. Road will remain closed, next update will be Sunday July 5th at 12 noon.

Mountain View Road is currently closed do to a debris torent, assessment in progress and once area is determined to be safe crews will begin to remove, thankyou for patience

Full access to the lower parking lot at Wire Cache rest area has been restored and charging station is now available.

The charging station as well as the lower section of the Wire Cache rest area is currently closed while we wait for the water levels to recide, please check Drive BC for updates but the rest area remains open at this time, thank you for your patience

We are currently experiencing heavy snowfall with limited visibility in McBride, Valemount and Blue River. Please avoid travel unless necessary, it will take us time to get to all our side roads as we deploy resources to the highways.

Crew are making great progress on culvert replacement on Pine Road. Road will be closed from 7am until 9am tomorrow the 25th of July, hopefully we have it back to single lane sooner than the two hours and once again we thank everyone for their patience.

We have started the culvert replacement on Pine Road this morning and the hours of work will be 7am until 6pm Monday to Saturday, we appreciate everyone's patience while we complete this project

Avalanche control is scheduled beginning around 11am to 3pm today on Highway 16 east at Red Pass. Highway will be closed.
