Lifesaving support is on its way to some of South Sudan’s hardest-to-reach communities.
With support from @OCHAFunds, ForAfrika has dispatched critical WASH and nutrition supplies to remote communities in the Pibor Administrative Area, where access to basic services is limited.
The supplies, including nutrition commodities, hygiene materials, and essential WASH items, will help strengthen access to clean water, sanitation, hygiene, and lifesaving nutrition support for families in need.

May his soul rest in peace. His work across the continent of Africa lives on. Though he has passed on, he lives through the millions of lives he impacted.
We are deeply grieved by the passing of James Robinson, whose life was marked by profound compassion and a steadfast conviction to serving others.
As the founder of Life Outreach International, James’ commitment has been foundational to the work we do. With four decades of partnership with ForAfrika, LOI has faithfully enabled us to serve communities across Africa, bringing change and hope to tens of millions.
We are truly honoured to have walked alongside James and the Life Outreach International team and witness the impact on so many lives.
Our heartfelt thoughts and prayers are with his wife Betty, his family, and the entire Life Outreach International team. His legacy lives on in every life touched and every community uplifted.
Planning for your deåth feels weird and morbid.
But you know what's actually morbid?
Leaving your family to play detective while they're grieving.
If you died tomorrow, could your family actually ACCESS anything?
Here's the checklist nobody wants to make, but every1 needs:
Whoever decided that we should take up the name “Ghana,” God bless you. It’s a refreshing break from the “-ia” pandemic that swept across many countries.
J. B. Danquah once suggested the name “Voltaria,” after the Volta River. Thoughtful, but that would have made us all “Voltarians,” wouldn’t it? 😀
More notably, it would have placed us in the category of the more than 50 countries whose names all end in “-ia.” No uniqueness in that 🙄
Nigeria, Albania, Algeria, Ethiopia, Bolivia, Micronesia, Rhodesia, Namibia, Georgia, Somalia, Tanzania, and the list goes on.
If you’re wondering why so many country names end in the suffix “-ia,” it’s because many of the names trace back to Latin or Greek origins, where the suffix traditionally meant “land” or “territory.”
So Nigeria is the land of the Niger (river), Algeria is the land of Algiers (the islands), Ethiopia is the land of burnt faces, and so on.
In that sense, Voltaria would have meant the land of the Volta, which would still have accurately captured the essence of the country, since the Volta River runs from the north of Ghana to its southern coast.
But honestly, to borrow Gen Z’s language, our forefathers really cooked with the name Ghana.
Today, we’re reminded that every child deserves the chance to learn, grow, and shape their own future. Across Africa, millions of young people are ready to rise and ForAfrika is standing beside them.
From strengthening early education in South Africa to ensuring school meals and resilient learning environments in Mozambique, we're investing in the foundations that help children thrive. Because when children are nourished, supported, and empowered, their potential becomes unstoppable.

Red bowls signify hope in the communities we work with.
ForAfrika first used them 40 years ago to serve nutritious meals to starving children in Mozambique.
At Marcação Primary School in Sofala District, Mozambique, these little red bowls continue to help children stay in class, learn with energy, and grow with confidence.
