If someone really cares about you, theyβre gonna feel it when they hurt you. They wonβt gaslight you, dodge accountability, or flip the script. Theyβll show up, admit what they did, and actually try to fix it. But if they care more about protecting their image than acknowledging your pain, thatβs not love thatβs ego. And if calling them out makes them defensive instead of remorseful, believe what youβre seeing. Leave. Protect your peace like your life depends on it because sometimes it really does.
I think itβs nice to have someone whoβs aware of your sensitivity and handles your feelings gently with patience and care. Itβs comforting to show your vulnerability to someone and have them respond with understanding and thoughtfulness.
