@JHolmesLives The Schwinns is the 70s were bike store bikes, not department store. Until Schwinn's bankruptcy and buyout by Doral in the 90s, they were respectable quality bikes.
@TarHeelFoodways That's not an unjustified fear. I've found greenway rides are best mid-morning during the week, if you have that kind of schedule flexibility.
@JHolmesLives West Charlotte is one of the best areas to ride in. North isn't terrible, I just don't have as much time up there. I bike the west side several days a week. It's all about route planning.
