We are saddened to lose two great colleagues to Covid19. Two days ago, "Macalin John" Hassan Farah passed away. He was a great man who cared deeply for his community. He will be dearly missed. Hassan and Bashir had been friends since childhood. May Allah reunite them in Jannah.

Ina lillahi wa ina illahi rajion. Bashir Abdullahi Gurey died last night of COVID-19 whilst receiving cancer treatment at UCL hospital. We all miss him and are heartbroken. May Allah have mercy on him. We worked on many projects including our Sport Development project for youth

Second meeting for knife crime awareness. We established a committee made up of local Somali fathers, who had never assembled together to address knife crime before. Our next meeting will take place on Mon 1st April, where we will continue our research into some solutions.

Our Somali-diaspora engagement event led by the community welcomed H.E. Dr Abdirahman Duale Beyle, the Somali finance minister. It was an amazing night facilitated by Leaf Education. It was a productive open dialogue, and we are grateful that he joined a grassroots community.
