CDN, AB resident. Fed Liberal, ABNDP. Francophile, Great kids, dog, no APP, Wear a Mask, get the shot, ageism enrages me. DIL is CDN! #NeverVoteUCP/CPC.
It’s official.
The UCP are going all in on rigging the next election.
It’s unprecedented and unacceptable.
MLAs should have no part in drawing the boundaries for the seats they run to represent.
We’ll have more to say soon because Alberta, we need to fight back. #ableg
There is a reason that we do not have MLAs decide on electoral boundaries. Tossing out the Electoral Boundaries Commission and replacing it with a UCP-dominated committee is not just a bad idea. It is really bad for democracy. Ask the US, ask Hungary. This is not normal!
Remember before Stephen Harper became PM, he was a member of the explicitly pro-apartheid Northern Foundation. A group that was dedicated to preserving apartheid in South Africa and keeping Nelson Mandela in prison.
Stephen Harper has always been a racist

Here’s @ABDanielleSmith plan for seniors. Whittle down health care so seniors cannot access adequate care. They grow sicker, less capable of self-care. They end up in seniors “homes” which are run by profit-motivated private companies who bleed seniors of every dime.
Pay attention AB or your retirement income will be gone, I do not want to clean up O&G wells. They shit on our land, they can clean it up on their dime.
Congratulations to our new Member of Parliament in University-Rosedale @docdanielle on your win. I know you will be a wonderful representative for our amazing community.
Meet Amie. She is among the 800 @WestJet call centre workers in Calgary. Over the past year, 400+ roles were moved to @TELUS_Digital agents in El Salvador. Hear her story and why we need to continue to fight for Canadian jobs.

🇨🇦 Seeing a lot of dramatic claims today about Canada “losing democracy.”
Let’s slow down and look at how our system actually works 👇
🗳️ Canadians vote for Members of Parliament in their ridings,
not directly for a Prime Minister.
🏛️ The Prime Minister is simply the leader who can command the confidence of the House of Commons.
🔄 If MPs choose to sit with another caucus, it can change the balance of power in Parliament.
That’s not a coup.
That’s how the Westminster parliamentary system has functioned since Confederation.
Do people like floor crossing?
Many don’t. And that’s a fair political debate.
But it has happened under governments of every political stripe.
⚠️ Claiming it’s “the end of democracy,” or threatening another convoy if Parliament shifts, isn’t defending democracy.
It’s misunderstanding it.
Debate the politics.
Hold MPs accountable.
But don’t pretend the rules of our system suddenly changed.

“I see nothing “wrong” in believing in a God. I don’t think there is a God, but belief in him does no harm. If it helps you in any way, then that’s fine with me. It’s when belief starts infringing on other people’s rights when it worries me.”
“I didn’t vote for a majority government”
Well no shit. No one did.
That’s not how it works.
You also didn’t vote for a minority government.
You didn’t vote for a coalition.
You voted for a local representative in your riding. That is it.
