@DanielPeak16 @heymrsbond As someone who chose to wear button-down shirts and a tie everyday for 17 years as an elementary teacher of 6th graders (so they saw me all day), I never experienced this. Pajama day was just a regular day for most of them. Some boys didn't shower or comb their hair most days.
@edtechmathteach Doing this would make me too anxious to sleep. Already between Friday evening and this morning, I've put in at least 6 hours of planning, giving feedback, and writing emails. I will most likely put in 4 more hours today. You've got a better mindset but I don't know how to change.
@TeacherOnTopic I had this just this week where I decided not to take a day due to the need to write plans and then dealing with the repercussions of being gone when I return.
It's October, and I'm finally getting the chance to read @michaelregina's The Sleepover! My Adamsville bookmark probably won't be getting much work as I fly through this creepy graphic novel.
@sage_stage As an elementary teacher, I have 3 hours a week of plan time-- technically less since I have to walk my kids to their specials. I'll never understand how people say they take nothing home when planning, grading, etc for 6-7 different subjects a day.
@lke2tch @CovingtonEDU @MadiSP4321@kaIIiiope With the same masters plus 30 and number of years teaching, I would make 28k more per year if I taught in my local high school district rather than teaching elementary.
@ModestTeacher And they won't wear them. Many students last year took them off and ran in the field during recess with just socks because they didn't want mud or creases on the shoes.
@EDUwithEmily Grading math and social studies assessments, finishing report cards, and planning for next week. Also, finally getting my dahlias in the ground if time allows.

@JayWamsted I dressed as Snape for Halloween one year and removed my glasses for accuracy. I was asked if I was wearing under eye makeup by a kid. Nope. Just my tired eyes.
