The Femoral Triangle block is similar to the Adductor Canal Block only better. This is because the block involves both the Nerve to Vastus Medialis and Saphenous Nerve. A great motor sparing block to allow the patients to ambulate early! #anesthesia
There is a time and place for everything. For total hip replacement it’s usually a PENG and LFCN to avoid a motor block enabling the patient to ambulate soon after surgery. For some hip fracture patients the Fascia Iliaca Block may be a better choice.
