The Mechanisms App was first released in 2018. Created as a part of a National Science Foundation (NSF) project. The app includes 265 puzzles, covering two semesters of organic chemistry. Since its launch, it has been used in hundreds of college classrooms and has had over 137,000 distinct users.
It's now time for a major update. #OrganicChemistry #EdTech (1/4)
This Web tool is less game-based (there are no achievements and visual awards of stars), and more game-inspired (exploration and hypothesis testing is at the core of the user interaction). #GameInspiredLearning (3/4)
@nationalmoleday Two are from Hallmark. As a chemistry teacher, I was SO excited to see they were selling a mole family. (this was years ago). The other is a Beanie-baby hedgehog, that is masquerading as a mole. :)
Kasi is an alternate interface designed so that ALL students can benefit from multi-sensory learning. Check out the video to see how our computer vision system allows Kasi to give students guidance and feedback as they explore! #InclusiveLearning#STEMEducation
