Buyer psychology · Trust gaps · Semiotics made practical
Trust is not a feeling.
It is a signal system.
And signal systems can be read, diagnosed, and fixed.
Every colour, every word, every image, every positioning choice, your audience is reading all of it before they consciously process anything.
Most brands never learn to read what their audience is reading.
That is the gap.
And that is what @LearnWhyWeTrust is all about.
@Rapunzel_hnn that's personal preference. but maintaining a safe distance if you cannot quit that environment is extremely important for your own sanity
back in teh day, i was doing two jobs and pursuing a masters degree.
so, wth everything going on i was up for three days straight. was having too much coffee. basically was running on fumes. and one day, i just blacked out.
so, yes you gotta be careful with how you balance rest with everything in between. because exhaustion can literally take you down. and then it takes time to get back up.
The Von Restorff Effect
Email inbox: forty emails in black and white
One Email: arrives in colour with a completely different format
You: "I remember that one."
Brand: "That was the point."
You: "I do not remember what it said."
Brand: "But you remembered us."
That is the Von Restorff effect. The thing that stands out from its environment is the thing that gets remembered. Distinctiveness is a memory strategy.
PS: But you need to be careful how you are designing that experiece. It can backfire if not done right.
