Today, on Memorial Day, we honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our nation. Their bravery and selflessness will never be forgotten—and their memory lives on in every act of service that follows. 📸: @FDNY
We support firefighters not only for the work they do but also for the lives they lead and the roles they fill beyond the call. Because when we fully support our firefighters, we’re also supporting the people they protect, the families they love, and the communities they serve.
Firefighters are so much more than who you see at the scene of an emergency. They’re mothers, fathers, siblings, friends, partners, neighbors, just like you.
“The difficult calls you go on…the sheer volume of the things that you see, the sad and the depressing situations that we encounter, are going to have an effect, they’re going to take a toll...
There is strength in speaking up. There is courage in asking for help. And there is hope in knowing that resources are available. Let’s break the stigma, support one another, and change the culture—together.
Mike's unwavering respect for the fire service and the people behind it remained constant through it all. "Brotherhood, morale, and tradition separate this profession from a job," he says. Join us in honoring Lieutenant Mike Murphy for his 35+ years of dedication and service.
Meet Lieutenant Mike Murphy, a second-generation firefighter who recently retired from the Newton Fire Department after 35 incredible years of service. Mike's career began in 1985 as a firefighter/crash crew member of the United States Air Force.
Throughout his career, Mike volunteered for many causes close to his heart. One of the most rewarding experiences, he says, was working alongside The Leary Firefighters Foundation to help rebuild New Orleans firehouses following Hurricane Katrina.
While International Firefighters' Day has passed, our mission continues. With your support, we can impact more fire departments than ever before. Donate today to join us in this mission 👉 https://t.co/cAAfCWu86x
