We were looking at Global issues and gender ideals tonight. We also finished off our physical activities towards our skills.

Founders day (also known as World scout day) is the day that we celebrate the birthday of Robert Baden-Powell the founder of the Scout movement.

Its a day where we reflect on how the Scout values still resonate with us today.

We worked together to protect the egg from a drop. We also worked together to run a night of games and activities.

Congratulations to Tim Nurse on your 10 years service award .

Tim is the group secretary, having started volunteering when his children were members of the group he continued on after his children had left us. He has done an absolutely amazing job over the past 10 years.

Week 3 at Beavers

We were learning about safety! We learned about the green cross code, water safety and who to call in an emergency.

Week 2 at Scouts

We looked at healthy lifestyles today, focusing on exercise, diet and sleep and alcohol, drugs and smoking.

We ended by investing our newest member Adam. We hope that he enjoys his time with us.

Week 1 at Beavers

Beavers started back this week. We started with our creative / builder badge.

We also awarded Micaella with her Chief Scout's Bronze Award, the highest award a Beaver Scout can earn.

Scouts enjoyed making their own dinner on Monday.

The menu's were:
Fruit salad, pizza and cookie
Garlic bread, spaghetti bologneise and Eton mess.

It all tasted great.

We had great fun on Saturday at the Beaver / Cub christmas make!
Activities included:
Hama Beads, Glass painting, Hot chocolate bags, reindeer candy canes, cards and our hand christmas tree.
