REPLACE! Did you know manufacturer's recommend and the fire code requires smoke alarms to be replaced every 10 years? Now you do! https://t.co/etnju6yqse #FPW 2024 # NFPA
TEST! Take some time once a month to push the test button on your smoke alarms. If you can't reach them, give us a call! We have ladders! https://t.co/etnju6yqse #FPW2024#NFPA
INSTALL! Smoke alarms should be installed on every level of the home, outside each sleeping area, and inside each bedroom. For the best protection, interconnect all the smoke alarms so when one sounds, they all sound. https://t.co/etnju6yqse #FPW2024#NFPA
Good morning Leawood! It's Fire Prevention Week! This year's theme is "Smoke Alarms: Make Them Work For You!". We plan on sharing some information with you about how you can install, test, and replace your smoke alarms. Stay Safe! #FPW2024#NFPA

Please see the attached media release for information on a Building Fire that occurred in Leawood last night. This incident is a good reminder of the value of working fire alarm and fire sprinkler systems. The extent of damage would have been much more significant without them.
