@MaryBowdenMD There’s no sacrifice. Since many people seem to derive pleasure and purpose from working they can keep doing so while others earn from practicing hobbies they never had the time or energy for. Work will be optional not abolished. Everybody can win if this is properly carried out
@Kiradavis He did not say work will be abolished. It’s very clear that work will become optional and whoever derives purpose from earning can keep doing so. What’s great about UBI is that you get the chance to earn doing something you actually like instead of working for someone else
@jhaskinscabrera If your sense of purpose comes down to a job title, you’ve got bigger problems. Most people have no clue what life is all about because their jobs restricted them from finding out or they use work as an escape from lives they chose but don’t enjoy
@evanwch People use jobs as an escape because they fear being home with their own families. Those who chose the right partner (or no partner) and had children because they really wanted them and not for the sake of having them will be just fine. There’s so much more to life than we know
@PostDisclosure COVID showed it clearly. Work isn’t just income for many, it’s an escape from lives they don’t enjoy. People who understand there’s more to life won’t fear that shift
@Raindropsmedia1 That baby is getting scanned because the walk through metal detector alarmed when the mother carrying her baby went through it. Hope that helps
