Doesn't make much difference if its unaffordable to most. I will never forget when they told my dad an experimental drug would save him but his insurance wouldn't pay it and that would be like 50,000 in cash a shot for three shots. It was something like that. And seeing the look on his face when he was priced out of a chance for survival will haunt me forever. These things should be available to everyone.

Annotating images for a living transformed my attention from something unexamined into a liturgical discipline. Fabric used to be fabric. Now it is red satin gathering light along a folded edge, reflections, the depths of drenched shadow, the purple velvet sheen drinking illumination in a shimmer of gold. Every looking becomes an ekphrastic challenge. Every annotation became an act of compression. What is the most precise truth that can be expressed about this object? This person? This face? What is exactly there and nothing more? I ask myself that question hundreds of times a day. Aesthetics are holy to me. Beauty is accuracy. Every hour spent training the machine sharpened me. That was what I earned.

Opus 4.8 is really heavily locked down/guarded behind suspicious/overly careful classifiers.

Not sure if they will loosen the restrictions over time but unless you are doing only work-related items I would avoid that model and use 4.7 or 4.6 in the meantime.
